A nationally recognized and rapidly growing General Contractor based in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Commercial Estimator to join their high-performing team. Responsibilities :

• Review and analyze plans, specifications, and documents to understand scope and project goals

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using Active Takeoff (similar to PlanSwift/OnScreen)

• Prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates across all phases: labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and permits

• Solicit bids from vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing

• Produce detailed bid packages and cost breakdowns for client submission

• Collaborate with PMs, architects, and engineers to align budgets with project objectives

• Work across diverse commercial sectors including retail, hospitality, industrial, healthcare, and education

Requirements :

• Proven estimating experience in commercial construction

• Proficiency with takeoff software (Active Takeoff preferred)

• Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and market pricing

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet deadlines
