**Requirements**
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**
- **Experience in automotive painting, industrial coatings
application, or industrial spray painting is strongly preferred.**
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred, with**at least one
year\'s experience working as an industrial painter**or paint
preparation technician, or an equivalent combination of experience
and education.
- At least**6 months of training or education in painting at a
recognized trade school or apprenticeship program is preferred.**
- Ability to read, interpret, understand, and determine painting needs
and the methods to meet them.
- Read and implement painting blueprints/traveler plan specifications.
- Must be able to read, and understand production reports, MSDS
related to product, and all associated safety procedures.
- Must be able to establish productive and effective communication
ties and relationships with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and
staff.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and
correspondence, and understand basic math.
- Must be able to calculate figures and amounts such as paint
quantities, paint thickness, dry time, Mil spec., etc.
- Ability to understand and know company operation costs and
production costs and production overrun costs.
- Ability to analyze and understand project specifications and
documents and successfully resolve practical problems and they may
occur.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a basic
knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook word processing
software
- Must have OSHA Forklift Certification.
- **Must be able to pass a pulmonary functions test and wear a
respirator.**
- **Able to wear all appropriate PPE including Tyvek suit while
working.**
- Must comply with and follow all IE standards, programs, policies,
and procedures as they apply to this position, reports any unsafe
condition immediately.
- Must be able to operate/work safely around machinery/moving
equipment.
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds,
frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift
and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- Standing for extended periods of time. Ability to work at heights of
up to 25 feet.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision,
Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to
adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee
is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach
with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or
crawl and talk or hear.
- The employee is regularly required to stand and walk on concrete
floors and uneven surfaces.

Must be able to work a 40-hour work week and overtime as necessary.**Ask
