You will serve as a HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC in the Lifting and Handling Department (C200), Crane Engineering Division (Code 210), Crane Maintenance Brance at Trident Refit Facility, Kings Bay (TRIFEFFAC-KB), of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and trainin that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

- Experience determining the cause of mechanical operating problems, traces, and locating defects and making repairs to weight handling equipment such as portal, dock, and fixed cranes that include Category I, Category II, and Category III cranes.
- Experience overhauling or rebuilding major systems such as diesel and other types of internal combustion systems and mechanical brakes, systems, and controls.
- Experience replacing parts such as injection valves, cylinder heads, cylinder sleeves, pistons, rings connecting rods, gears, bearings, gaskets, travel motors, and crank shafts to include the intricate time requirements of these complex fuel injection systems.
- Experience installing, testing, repairing, and making critical adjustments to various types of operational, load bearing and operational safety devices.
- Experience performing structural fabrication to include bending, cutting, and shaping structural components in support of repairs or replacement of such.
