AutoCAD Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team in electrical drafting, utilizing AutoCAD and MicroStation to support transmission and distribution projects.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate and detailed electrical and utility drafting using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Support transmission and distribution projects through effective drafting and design.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop construction drawings and documentation.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development to understand design decisions.
• Communicate effectively with team members and ask questions to ensure clarity and understanding.

• Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD.
• Strong drafting skills with a focus on electrical systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Desire to learn and understand the reasoning behind design decisions.

• Experience in consulting space is a plus.
• Industry experience with utilities or electrical systems design is advantageous.
• Knowledge of MicroStation or Inventor is beneficial but not required.
• Leadership qualities and extraverted personality are desirable.
• Computer and technology savvy with problem-solving skills.

The role is based in a professional engineering office, offering a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
