Weekend Shift Press Brake Operator (paid as 40/hr work week with differential) Job Description As a Machine Operator, you will play a pivotal role in the production process, operating various advanced machines such as press breaks, saws, drills, turret punches, lasers, and shears. Your expertise will ensure that production runs are set up, programmed, and calibrated to meet product specifications while troubleshooting and resolving complex machine issues. Monitoring machine performance and performing quality checks on parts and assemblies will be essential in maintaining high standards. Responsibilities Operate various machines at an advanced level according to standard operating procedures. Set up, program, and calibrate machines for production runs. Troubleshoot and resolve complex machine issues, including mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems. Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for process improvements. Perform final quality checks on parts and assemblies. Train and mentor less experienced machine operators on advanced machine operation and troubleshooting techniques. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machines. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve product designs and workflows. Maintain accurate records of production activities and machine performance. Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols. Follow lean manufacturing guidelines and suggest continuous improvements. Shift: Friday - Sunday 5am - 5pm (Will be paid for 40 hours worked) Essential Skills Experience working with sheet metal, cut, pressed, and punched to strict tolerances. Proficiency in CNC machine operations. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files. Expertise in machine programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Strong knowledge of machining techniques, including precision manufacturing. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Strong leadership abilities with experience training and mentoring junior staff. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical certification or associate degree in machine operation, engineering, or related field preferred. 5+ years of experience in machine operations, preferably with press breaks, turrets, lasers, and shears. Work Environment Work in a state-of-the-art facility located in Mesa, Arizona, equipped with electric charging stations. The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 35 pounds and use a portable ladder. Personal Protection Equipment will be required, and the ability to perform tasks involving manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination is essential. The position includes working hours from Friday to Sunday, 5am to 5pm, with a 10% shift differential. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, Arizona. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
