Large utility is looking for a Electrical Engineer in Grand Rapids, MI. This Electrical Engineer role requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or 10 years of relevant design experience and at least 5 years in the field, involving the planning, design, and oversight of gas compression projects while coordinating technical teams, preparing engineering documentation, ensuring compliance, and utilizing strong problem-solving, procurement, and communication skills. responsibilities:
  • Plan, design, construct, and maintain natural gas compression stations and supporting facilities.

  • Lead or assist with engineering projects including: Designs, drawings, inspections, specs, permits, contracts, reports, system planning, estimates, and environmental reviews.

  • Ensure compliance with government and company engineering standards and practices.

  • Review, organize, and follow project documentation (drawings, specs, file structure).

  • Provide technical support using clear written and verbal communication.

  • Serve as an onsite engineering representative and attend internal/external meetings.

  • Monitor construction and operating sites for progress and quality assurance.

  • Support resource allocation, scheduling, and project coordination among teams.

  • May act as the technical point of contact for the customer.

  • Industrial facility/gas compressor station design, construction, or operations.

  • Contract document preparation (engineering drawings and specifications).
