The Shop Foreman plays an integral role in Service Department management. The Shop Foreman manages branch technicians, and assists with hiring, onboarding, training, dispatch, and troubleshooting of repairs. Building and fleet maintenance, as well as other branch duties, are additional responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicates HR, Safety, and other messages to all technicians at the branch.
- Manages branch technicians, including HR related responsibilities like annual reviews, disciplinary notes, etc.
- Works with the Service Manager on hiring, onboarding, and new hire training.
- Trains branch technicians as requested by the Service Manager and helps other technicians with problem shooting.
- Facilitates dispatch and technician flow through the branch.
- Monitors and ensures proper maintenance of the building, rental fleet, and vehicle fleet.
- Ensures technicians follow all safety guidelines.
- Assists with service department quoting.
- Serve as backup and assistant to the Service Manager for other duties as required.
- Handle other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education/Training/Experience:
- A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs
- High school diploma

- Able to work with minimal or no supervision in the field
License(s) or Certification(s) Required:
