As a Quality Assurance Engineer , you will play a vital role in ensuring that all construction activities meet established quality standards and project specifications. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control systems, conducting inspections, and identifying corrective actions to maintain compliance throughout the project lifecycle. This role demands a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with contractors, clients, and project teams.
Key responsibilities:
· Daily Onsite Inspections
Perform daily inspections to assess the progress and quality of construction work, ensuring alignment with project specifications and standards.
· Contract Compliance Monitoring
Ensure that all construction activities comply with the terms and conditions of the contract, including quality-related clauses and deliverables.
· Discrepancy Reporting
Notify the client immediately of any deviations from the construction contract to enable timely corrective action.
· Submittal Review and Approval
Review and approve contractor administrative submittals such as Quality Control Plans, Accident Prevention Plans, and Environmental Protection Plans.
· Testing and Results Documentation
Observe material and process tests, document results, and ensure they meet required quality benchmarks.
· Construction Schedule Oversight
Monitor construction timelines and report any potential delays that could impact quality or project delivery.
· Technical Drawing Review
Assist in reviewing initial and revised design drawings to ensure technical accuracy and quality compliance.
· Issue Resolution and Corrective Action
Address and resolve quality-related issues during construction, including responding to RFIs and contractor change requests.
· Progress Documentation and Log keeping
Maintain a detailed project logbook and records of daily activities, inspections, and compliance checks.
· Stakeholder Communication and Reporting
Provide regular updates to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and other stakeholders on quality performance and project status.
· Site Safety and Quality Integration
Enforce safety protocols that align with quality standards to ensure a safe and compliant construction environment.
Minimum Qualifications and Preferred Requirements for Quality Assurance Role
· Associate or bachelor’s degree graduate of Engineering, Technology or Construction Management.
· At least 10 years of construction inspection experience.
· Certification from the recognized institution and organization.
· Licensed journeyman electrician or plumber.
· Handled multi-disciplined projects greater than $1million.
· Construction Quality Verification or equivalent training.
· Completed OSHA 30 training within the past 2 years.
· Knowledgeable on safety practices, with background in USACE EM 385-1-1 and OSHA safety requirements.
· Professional certifications such as: Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA), Certified Construction Manager (CCM). Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Facility Manager (CFM)
· Physically able to walk over rough, uneven, slippery surfaces, lift heavy loads and climb ladders.
· Highly knowledgeable in engineering principles, concepts and practices.
· Must be a Polish citizen, fluent in both Polish and English
· With valid driver’s license.
· Competent computer skills.
