Job Description
Stryker is seeking a Design Engineer for our Customized Implants division. This is an onsite position based 5 days per week in Ventura, California.
At Stryker Ventura, we specialize in designing custom temporomandibular joint (TMJ) implants that restore jaw function and transform lives. As the Design Engineer , you will gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment, working closely with experienced designers and clinical specialists to create patient-specific solutions.
What You Will Do
Responsible for TMJ Implant design per the TMJ Implant Engineering procedure and maintaining the Surgeon Preference Listing
Responsible for the evaluation of CT scans and models for adequacy, build style, and reference geometry
Utilize CAD software to design patient-specific implants in consultation with the attending surgeon
Partner with surgeons and field partners to ensure designs are centered around each patients unique requirements
Create and prepare patient design review packages, manufacturing prints and surgeon design approval schematics
Work closely with both internal teams as well as with international teams within the organization
Act as point of contact for the internal process organization (such as Manufacturing and Customer Service) as well as external customers, including medical professionals
What You Need
Required
Bachelors degree in a technical field (e.g., Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering)
Strong customer focus and exceptional communication skills
Outstanding attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility
Preferred
Basic understanding of human anatomy
Interest in medical device design and patient-specific solutions
CAD software experience
$76,000 - $118,100 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
