Wood Rodgers, a leading engineering consulting firm, is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Land Development Division. In this role, you will contribute to a range of private infrastructure projects by preparing engineering studies, designing grading, sewer, drainage, and water systems, and developing construction plans and cost estimates. You will collaborate with senior engineers and project managers on various projects, including entitlement, subdivisions, and infrastructure planning. This role involves performing engineering analyses, preparing reports, and using Computer Aided Design (AutoCAD) for design development.This is a staffed, hourly, non-exempt position.
What you will be doing
- Prepare engineering analyses, designs, and calculations for private improvement projects.
- Assist in creating construction plans and cost estimates.
- Support construction submittal reviews, RFIs, and other construction-related tasks.
- Coordinate with design teams and public agencies.
- Conduct technical analyses and simulations to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of engineering solutions.
- Work with survey and construction management teams during project execution.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required).
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (required).
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, methods, and practices.
- Proficient in AutoCAD (Civil 3D) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze and organize engineering data to produce thorough reports.
- Proven ability to manage multiple engineering tasks, collaborate effectively in teams, and maintain excellent interpersonal skills.
