Job Title: Quality Control Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Quality Control Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic team in the Greater Cincinnati area. The role involves ensuring the quality of construction and fabrication drawings within a mechanical contractor's fab shop. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers interested in working on diverse projects, including healthcare, education, data centers, and large commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Review shop drawings in the fabrication shop to ensure mechanical systems, including plumbing and HVAC, are accurately fabricated, built, and assembled.
- Inspect mechanical and plumbing systems in the fabrication shops before shipment to client job sites.
- Conduct audits to verify compliance and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the fabrication team to provide guidance on correctly building HVAC or mechanical systems.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in HVAC systems and design.
- Experience with sheet metal design and assembly.
- Skills in HVAC inspection and engineering.
- Ability to conduct mechanical inspections and understand mechanical drawings.
- Familiarity with fabrication inspection processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- A 4-year or 2-year degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings for HVAC and plumbing systems for buildings.
- Understanding of fabrication drawings.
- Interest in working for a mechanical contractor and in a fabrication shop.
Work Environment
This position requires on-site work from Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM. The role involves working in a fabrication shop environment with opportunities to engage in various project types.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
