Chemours is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Reliability Engineer (RE) to join our growing TSS team. This position will be available at the Corpus Christi Site located in Ingleside, Texas and report directly to the Site Maintenance and Reliability Manager.

The Reliability Engineer (RE) provides solutions that optimize asset capacity and availability as well as Cost of Manufacture (COM) utilizing process and equipment data analysis methodologies. The RE utilizes reliability analytics to understand cost performance and failure mode impact on the asset's ability to perform against the business, maintenance & production strategies and develops recommendations for mitigation of the failure modes through modification of the maintenance strategy or proposal of asset modification (capital).

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) reliability.
  • Lead and support root cause failure analyses and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Serve as a role model by training, coaching, and promoting advanced reliability techniques across departments.
  • Create and maintain effective equipment maintenance plans, including predictive/preventive maintenance and critical spare parts management.
  • Share best practices and participate in maintenance and reliability networks.
  • Become a subject matter expert in area-specific equipment and support skill development/training.
  • Provide engineering support for troubleshooting, equipment evaluations, and technical upgrades.
  • Provide technical assistance to develop and implement Mechanical Integrity/Quality Assurance, reliability, and PPM programs for Electrical Equipment, Instrumentation, Valves and Power Distribution.
  • Periodically review and optimize preventive maintenance plans and critical spares inventory.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals, balancing functionality, cost, and timing.
  • Use management of change processes to improve safety, reliability, and environmental performance.
  • Champion reliability culture through standard work practices and resource recommendations.
  • Co-lead electrical hazard analyses and contribute to capital project scope development.
  • Prepare, review, and audit work scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and equipment specifications.
  • Collaborate with reliability engineers and technicians to drive continuous improvement and foster a strong reliability culture across the organization and its partners. Champion standard work practices, recommend resources, and promote understanding of best-in-class reliability techniques.

The following is required for this role:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or strongly related discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant electrical / reliability engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience working with field personnel in maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Demonstrated work experience in the design, specification, installation, and/or maintenance of E&I systems.
  • Possess an understanding of the National Electrical Code, with emphasis in hazardous (electrically classified) locations.
  • Ability to perform Root Cause Failure Analyses.
  • Superior Oral and Written skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to manage short duration deadlines, emergency situations, and multiple priorities
  • Willing and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel toes, hard hat, Nomex, eye protection, etc.

The following is preferred for this role:

  • 10+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of maintenance management systems, such as SAP.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) Certification.
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data analysis, statistical interpretation, failure analysis techniques, and maintenance/reliability best practices.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing, maintenance, and reliability methodologies, including FMEA, root cause analysis, MTBF, and predictive maintenance.
  • Familiarity with advanced maintenance and reliability strategies such as Total Productive
  • Maintenance (TPM), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), equipment uptime, and life cycle cost analysis (Total Cost of Ownership).
  • Proficient in condition-based maintenance technologies such as infrared thermography, ultrasonics, and performance testing.

$110,544.00 - $172,725.00

Annual Bonus Target:

11%
