What you will do:
Conduct regular inspections, testing, and maintenance of healthcare equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Perform routine repairs and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or failures promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations.
Collaborate with maintenance staff and healthcare professionals to resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in compliance with regulatory standards.
Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for maintenance tasks.
Follow all safety protocols and regulations when working with hazardous materials and equipment. Stay informed about industry standards and advancements in healthcare maintenance practices.
Participate in ongoing training and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Technical certification in a relevant field is a plus.
Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of healthcare systems and applicable codes and regulations.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
