Job Description:

This role is responsible for performing a wide range of carpentry tasks including framing, finishing, and installation work in accordance with project specifications and safety standards. The Carpenter will follow design drawings, ensure precise measurements, and deliver high-quality craftsmanship on both structural and non-structural elements.

What You Will Do:

  • Install, erect, remove and modify framing assemblies, materials and hardware structural and non-structural items as required.
  • Frame soffits & bulkheads as directed by Superintendent
  • Frame in new closets for adding in washer-dryer combo units
  • Follow Cabinet and Interior Design drawings and specifications.
  • Install remove and modify finishing carpentry works such as doors, windows, trim, moldings, millwork hardware etc.
  • Order, load, unload and move materials as required to complete task.
  • Work safely with all relevant power and hand tools.
  • Work safely following all safety regulations and company protocols and company policies.
  • Work efficiently and diligently planning task ahead and organizing all requirements needed to complete tasks.
  • Perform take-offs and order materials
  • Ensure correct materials for the task are ordered.
  • Ensure structural items are installed as per detail.
  • Ensure work installed is of the highest quality, checking dimensions and ensuring work is plumb, true and square and attention to detail is implemented.
  • Must be a self-starter that can work under minimum supervision
  • Good communication skills via email and verbal.
  • Can follow direction and take notes to ensure complete follow through of required tasks.

What You Will Bring:

  • 3+ years of carpentry experience required ideally working on custom or single-family homes.
  • Must have experience with framing and finishing
  • Must have experience working on a residential construction site
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Ability to work with hand and power carpentry tools and other construction equipment
  • Ability to assess situations and identify potential hazards
  • Comfortable working at heights
