Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance and repairs, with a strong focus on fabrication and paint equipment. This role will be our primary resource responsible for keeping essential machinery and equipment operating at peak performance, including Trumpf Lasers, Electric and Hydraulic Press Brakes, Shears, Powder Coat Lines, Tow Motors , and other bus fabrication equipment . The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in electrical and mechanical systems, team leadership experience, and a proactive, problem-solving approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities related to plant power, control systems, and production equipment.
  • Lead troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of complex electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ensure operational efficiency and minimal downtime of all critical equipment including:
    • Trumpf Lasers and Electric Press Brakes
    • Hydraulic Press Brakes and Shears
    • Powder Coat Line and Paint Equipment
    • Tow Motors and Material Handling Equipment
    • Bus Fabrication Machinery and Controls
  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs for all assets under responsibility.
  • Ensure maintenance tasks and repairs comply with safety regulations, electrical codes (NEC, NFPA 70E), and company standards.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and safety teams to prioritize maintenance needs and reduce equipment-related delays.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, vendor relationships, and external service technicians when needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation for audits and tracking purposes.
  • Train, coach, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians to ensure timely and effective issue resolution.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades to existing systems.
  • Participate in capital improvement planning and provide technical input on equipment reliability and replacement strategies.

Specific Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required, technical certificate or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or similar field preferred.
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical control systems, power distribution, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
  • Proven experience supporting Trumpf equipment, hydraulic brakes, and powder coating systems is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and automation systems.
  • Experience maintaining tow motors, forklifts, or other industrial vehicles.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills with a focus on team development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Competency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Preferred:

  • OSHA 10/30 certification or other safety training.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance tools and methodologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermal imaging).
  • Forklift Certification.

Work Environment:
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Proper PPE is always required.
