Maintenance Mechanic**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic capable of reading and following detailed work instructions. The ideal candidate will record data manually or via computer as needed, assist with testing and repair of equipment, and help diagnose problems by discussing machine operations with supervisors and other maintenance workers. You will also assist in dismantling machines, installing new or repaired parts, and performing facility preventive maintenance procedures.
This candidate can also come from an automotive work history!
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist with testing and repair of equipment.
+ Diagnose machine operation variations and assist with repairs.
+ Dismantle machines and install new or repaired parts.
+ Perform facility preventive maintenance procedures.
+ Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
+ Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
+ Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
+ Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
+ Rig equipment for installation or relocation.
+ Provide and use all types of hand tools as required.
+ Read basic blueprints to install equipment and components.
+ Operate an industrial forklift.
+ Work in varying heights up to and including 50 feet.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience as a maintenance technician.
+ Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance.
+ Troubleshooting skills.
+ Mechanical mechanic expertise.
+ Manufacturing mechanic skills.
+ Car repair and diesel mechanic experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Forklift License required with renewal every two years.
+ Confined space entry certification with annual recertification.
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondences.
+ Good communication skills.
+ Mathematical skills, including algebra and geometry.
+ Problem-solving skills with concrete variables.
