Welder/Fabricator TIG**

**Job Description**

The primary responsibility of this role is the welding and fabrication of metal parts as directed by the departmental supervisor. The role also involves timely reporting of material usage.

**Responsibilities**

+ Interpret mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbolism.

+ TIG Welding/Fabricating of light gauge steel and aluminum to company standards.

+ Proficient in the use of power brake, power shears, drill press, and other metal shop equipment such as air grinders, polishers, sanders, saws both cold and band, and power and mechanical form benders.

+ Knowledge of Bridgeport operation is a plus.

+ Familiarity with operating (not programming) CNC equipment.

+ Perform basic numerical calculations.

+ Read Shop Build Drawings, other mechanical drawings, and Work Orders.

+ Use conventional and precision measuring instruments and tools.

+ Work with existing jigs and templates to replicate existing fixtures.

+ Work to allowed tolerances and maintain company quality standards.

+ Complete Work Orders as assigned and on time to meet company production goals.

+ Perform data entry for the material used into the Manufacturing software system.

+ Experience with structural steel

+ Experience with CNC operations

**Work Environment**

The work environment is clean and air-conditioned, providing a comfortable setting for employees. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warwick, Rhode Island.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
