9-80 Work Schedule (This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off).

Position Requirements:

Layout, install, maintain and repair all electrical equipment and lighting systems including motors, generators, transformers, controls and mechanics.
Capable of working on "live" circuits as required.
Proficient in bending EMT and rigid conduit.
Knowledgeable of the construction of Herman Miller office systems furniture.
Ability to read facility drawings including electrical drawings, schematics, and riser diagrams.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Must be a motivated self-starter.
Must be able to function in a team environment.
Must have the ability to assist other skilled trades.
General computer skills.
Must have a high school diploma.
Must have a minimum of 8 years in the trade.
Knowledgeable of general building codes.
Working voltages of 480, 277, 208, 120.
Must have working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
Must be able to climb and work from ladders.
Must have a State of Michigan Journeyman or Master's license and maintain it.
Knowledge of practices, tools, and equipment used in the electrical trade.
Ability to operate power tools in a safe manner.
Must have the ability to operate lift equipment in a safe, proficient manner and obtain the proper operating licenses.
Must have the ability to walk 3-5 miles a day on a variety of walking surfaces, ascend and descend numerous stairways, lift a minimum of 50 lbs., bend, twist, stoop, and kneel for long periods of time.
