Position Description:

Coordinate surveying tasks and resources throughout construction project lifecycle.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate surveying tasks throughout duration of construction project.
  • Identify and escalate drawing discrepancies within building layout to supervisor.
  • Establish baseline-building controls and work points; calculate, coordinate, and layout points with accuracy, based on

project documents.

  • Ensure coordinated work between Trades utilizing discipline contract drawings, shop drawings, and submittals.
  • Conduct As-Built Surveys and prepare electronic data for submission to team members.
  • Engage, interact, and coordinate work with other team members.
  • Conduct daily inspection of surveying equipment and track equipment calibrations.
  • Clean surveying equipment to ensure equipment is ready for next day's work.
  • Order surveying supplies as directed.
  • Ensure security of equipment while conducting surveying operations.
  • Assist with overall site safety and quality programs and ensure compliance of Trade employees and Trade Partners in

accordance Turner standards, applicable safety codes, regulations, and jobsite security.

  • Complete time sheets, production tracking/management, extra work tickets, daily construction reports, and required safety

paperwork daily, as directed.

  • Promote teamwork in daily operations, and maintain positive working relationship with customers, contractors, suppliers,

and other employees.

  • Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma and minimum of 3 years of surveying experience required
  • OSHA 30-hour certification required
  • Expert knowledge and use of surveying equipment
  • Read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule
  • interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in emergency situations
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Comprehend safety instructions, signage, and understand written safety instructions from tool and equipment manufacturers
  • Travel and accommodate night and weekend work as needed

to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands, talk, and hear. The employee frequently views a

computer monitor and frequently uses a computer keyboard. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,

peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly required to be mobile, and the

employee regularly travels both short and long distances via a variety of conveyances. The employee regularly performs work

on-site at construction work sites, office locations, and/or off-site venues. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25

pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in an office or remote setting. The noise in the work environment is usually

quiet to moderate in an office setting. The employee is required to work in compliance with company safety policies, procedures,
