Keeps premises of office buildings, clubhouse, grandstand, sales pavilion, or other buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- General cleaning and trash removal
- Cleans various building room types and surfaces (i.e.) restrooms, offices, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, elevators, etc.
- Applies proper cleaning techniques which may include: vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, stripping and waxing, dusting, spot cleaning, scrubbing, and disinfecting.
- Removes trash and recycling; Restocks all fixtures (toilet paper, towels, soap, and sanitizer).
- Utilizes various equipment (vacuum cleaners, floor machines, etc.) in completion of duties.
- Informs Supervisors of customer needs and delivers an appropriate response(s), as directed.
- Demonstrates progress towards reaching goals and objectives.
- Demonstrates compliance with quality assurance inspection results for assigned area(s).
- Demonstrates compliance with instructions regarding work in-process and upon completion.
- Delivers work results which are in compliance with established practices and standards, and overall acceptability of work.
- Ensures all assigned working areas are maintained in a safe and orderly manner and continuously free of trash and debris.
- Maintains appropriate inventory supply levels and requests re-orders, as needed.
- Operates and maintains equipment in a safe manner and requests repairs, as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- May also be asked to clean paddock areas, blows leaves, pick up trash, remove snow, and salt walkways. There may be requests to transport small equipment, tools, and other equipment between departments. Sets up tables and chairs in facilities as needed, etc.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Kentucky Horse Racing Authority License.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
