Project Architect

For a Design + Build Firm in Nassau County working on Healthcare, SCA (K-12), Commercial Interiors

Job Description

The role involves collaborating closely with Team Leads, Construction Project Managers, and Job Supervisors, primarily focusing on drafting via AutoCad. You will be responsible for the drafting and completion of various projects, attending client-consultant meetings and construction meetings with general contractors. You will oversee projects from the design documentation phase to the completion of construction, ensuring compliance with building codes and ADA requirements for commercial uses.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Team Leads, Construction Project Managers, and Job Supervisors for project development.
• Draft and complete project designs using AutoCad.
• Attend client-consultant meetings and construction meetings with general contractors.
• Oversee projects from design documentation to completion of construction.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and ADA requirements for commercial uses.
• Prepare complete shell designs for commercial buildings.
• Understand and navigate various agencies for obtaining full construction permits.
• Implement FGI guidelines for Outpatient Facilities and adhere to Dept of Health Article 28 regulations for hospitals.

• Proficiency in AutoCad.
• Extensive knowledge in architectural design and drafting.
• Expertise in project management and design development.
• 5-10 years of experience in architecture.
• Familiarity with healthcare facility requirements and guidelines.

• Experience in medical facilities is beneficial.
• Procore knowledge is a plus.
• Experience in schools, retail, office, strip malls, etc.

The work schedule is from 9am to 6pm with a half-hour lunch break. You will work within a team consisting of 2 Directors, 2 designers, and 8 architects and draftsmen, fostering a collaborative and dynamic environment.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
