Plumber**

**Job Description**

We are seeking a skilled technician to install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and components. The role requires reviewing building plans to determine plumbing layouts, identifying necessary tools and equipment, and selecting appropriate piping materials. Additionally, the technician will be responsible for installing supports, hangers, valves, and fittings, as well as ensuring all work complies with building codes and environmental protection standards.

**Responsibilities**

+ Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and components.

+ Review building plans and specifications to determine plumbing layouts.

+ Identify required tools and special equipment.

+ Select the type and size of pipe required.

+ Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures.

+ Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures, and equipment.

+ Assemble and install valves and fittings.

+ Install, repair, and maintain water treatment equipment, piping, and controls.

+ Install, repair, and maintain underground storm sanitary and water piping systems.

+ Install, repair, and maintain sinks, tubs, and toilets.

+ Install, repair, and maintain water heaters and conditioners.

+ Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, appliances, and trim.

+ Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks.

+ Maintain all building codes, installation requirements, and relevant legislation.

+ Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures.

+ Apply all codes to installations, repairs, and maintenance.

+ Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.

+ Administer and schedule work, prepare budgets, and orders of supplies.

+ Keep daily reports and schedule work in cooperation with other trades and suppliers.

+ Perform other related duties as required.

**Essential Skills**

+ Construction and plumbing expertise.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Proficiency with hand tools and piping.

+ Experience with PVC, HVAC, and both commercial and new construction.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Knowledge of water distribution and wastewater disposal in various buildings.

+ Understanding of relevant building codes, legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures.

+ Ability to work cooperatively with other trades and possess team-building skills.

+ Effective verbal, presentation, listening, negotiation, mediation, and written communication skills.

+ Proficient computer skills, including accounting, spreadsheet, database, and word-processing programs.

**Pay and Benefits**
