Our client, a leading manufacturer in East Granby, is seeking a skilled 2nd Shift TIG Welder for a direct hire position withpetitive pay and excellent benefits. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic production environment and join apanymitted to quality and innovation.

Position Overview:

As a TIG Welder, you will be responsible for using manual and semi-automatic GTAW welding, as well as brazing equipment, to join metalponents according to customer specifications. You'll work withplex blues and technical instructions, with minimal supervision, to ensure high-quality welds and meet production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal.

Read and interpret welding blues, engineered drawings, and work order requirements.

Set up welding machines for various materials, thicknesses, and positions using advanced fixtures and weld positioners.

Inspect weld dimensions and characteristics using tools such as calipers, protractors, and gauges.

Ensure all parts are assembled correctly and free from cosmetic defects.

Collaborate with other departments as needed andplete tasks according to production schedules.

Required Skills & Experience:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

GTAW certification, including AWS D17.1 and PWA 16 (in any group material).

3-5 years of TIG welding experience. Aerospace highly desired.

Must pass welding certification tests for current materials used in production.

Ability to read and interpret blues and operation sheets.

Proficiency in using standard tools for setup, inspection, and welding, such as calipers, height gauges, micrometers, and microscopes.

Ability toplete required process control samples and maintain logs, job orders, and other paperwork.

Strong written and verbalmunication skills.
