Construction Manager opportunity in the Marietta, GA area to oversee multiple commercial retail projects for various site locations. This hybrid remote position requires a proactive and organized individual to manage all phases of construction, from conception through completion. The ideal candidate will be someone who can "coach" and "be a team player," ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while adhering to all quality, brand, and safety standards.

responsibilities:
  • Manage several simultaneous construction projects, including new builds, relocations, and remodels, from the initial site identification and due diligence phase through to completion and handover.

  • Establish project budgets, coordinate the bidding process, negotiate and award contracts, and manage all project-related payments and financial closeout procedures.

  • Coordinate and interface with architects, engineers, contractors, landlords, and city officials to ensure all projects are properly permitted and constructed according to plans, specifications, and building codes.

  • Provide timely and accurate communication on project status to all stakeholders, while identifying and mitigating recurring construction issues.
Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commercial Construction, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, with at least 5 years of relevant construction experience.

  • Heavy commercial retail construction experience with knowledge of multiple trades is required; in-house construction management experience is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a thorough understanding of commercial ground-up and retrofit construction processes from start to finish.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and the ability to read and comprehend construction drawings.
