Leading engineering firm is looking to add a detail-oriented Project Cost Analyst in the Conshohocken, PA office. The Project Cost Analyst will support engineering and construction projects by developing and maintaining detailed cost reports, forecasts, and cash flows. They will work with large datasets using tools like Excel to analyze project costs, prepare variance reports, and collaborate with project teams on scheduling, vendor accruals, and financial updates. This individual should have 3-7 years of experience and a bachelor's degree.

responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain external and internal cost reports, cash flows and forecasts in support of engineering & construction projects
- Analyze data; review logs; and run reports in Oracle Primavera Unifier software and/or the Oracle Financials MIS/PPS Accounting software
- You will be dealing with large data sets, so you need to be able to analyze and manipulate these data sets with MS Excel
- Set up Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) for tracking detailed breakdown of purchase orders or subcontracts
- Create various cost reports and determine appropriate reporting format
- Create & customize forecast templates for each project in order to track actuals and cash flow
- Attend weekly project schedule update meetings with the project team
- Prepare and analyze forecast variance reports
- Coordinate with construction groups and provide schedule reports to track staffing assignments
- Coordinate with project managers to assemble vendor accruals and prepare monthly financial forecast updates
