Minimum Requirements

International Motors, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer Sr. in Lisle, IL with the following requirements: Bachelors degree in engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science and 8 yrs of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience including 1year leading others in engineer/design activities OR Masters degree in engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science and 6 yrs of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience including 1year leading others in engineer/design activities OR Phd in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science and 3 yrs of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience including 1year leading others in engineer/design activities. Required Skills: Design and develop weight-efficient Body-in-white (BIW) structural components to deliver the highest level of performance in NVH, durability and crash performance from Concept to production using computer aided design (CAD) Tools; Perform benchmark and studies on new trends on market to provide the best engineering solution when designing a new part or modify existing part or feature that meets product requirement specifications, vehicle performance and customer demands; Work with Computer aided engineering (CAE) to Confirm Component, System & Vehicle Level NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness), durability, and crash performance to meet FMVSS and Certification Requirements; Develop DFMEAs (Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis) early in the Design Process to Ensure Design Robustness and develop DVP&R (Design Verification Plans & Report) requirements for System and Vehicle Level Testing to identify failure mode and Weak Designs/Processes; Interact and provide technical support to component supplier for tooling feasibility and manufacturability issues and work on costing & timing impact of supplier components for Production and Prototype vehicle builds; Lead the launch phase of production intent designs at the Manufacturing plant and provide Interim Corrective Actions and Permanent Corrective Actions plan to Body shop, General assembly and paint shop to resolve the vehicle build issues. 10% domestic and 5% international travel required; must live within normal commuting distance of Lisle, IL; up to 10% remote work allowed. Benefits: Salary range: $135,000 -$145,000.
