Job Title: Construction Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Inspector to support projects in the Bellefonte area. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in construction inspection, preferably on transportation or infrastructure projects, and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily field inspections of roadway, bridge, and utility construction activities.
  • Monitor contractor work for compliance with specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Document construction progress, materials used, and any deviations from plans.
  • Conduct concrete testing, asphalt sampling, and other materials inspections as required.
  • Maintain accurate and timely inspection reports and photo documentation.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to resolve field issues.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant construction inspection experience.
  • Familiarity with standards and procedures is preferred.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with construction inspection, civil construction, and environmental field work.
  • Knowledge in using inspection equipment.
  • Concrete and asphalt testing experience.

Work Environment

This role involves working on active construction sites with exposure to varying weather conditions. It may require occasional night or weekend work depending on project schedules. The position offers a direct placement opportunity to gain experience and required certifications.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
