Pay for this rate starts at $37.81/hr with benefits through the Union

POSITION SUMMARY

The Industrial Millwright will be responsible for maintaining the equipment, processing and packaging utilities/infrastructure, grounds and plant areas. This work includes inside and outside jobs as needed to support line production and the general upkeep of the facility. This person must be able to work independently. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is based out of our Seabrook, New Jersey location.

Primary Responsibilities include :

  • Welding TIG, MIG and stick
  • Pipe welding: Sanitary, steam, etc.
  • Welding Aluminum
  • Welding in all positions including but not limited to: Overhead, Vertical, Horizontal and flat
  • Use of oxygen/acetylene torch and plasma cutter
  • Read Blue Prints
  • Use of measuring, leveling and aligning tools
  • Layout work
  • Moving, hoisting, rigging, rolling, dismantling, machinery and equipment safety
  • Aligning and leveling of equipment
  • Installing equipment such as shafts, gearboxes, pumps, Fans and conveyors
  • Bearing removal and installation
  • Demonstrates a working understanding and ability to repair Wastewater equipment and systems.
  • Operate forklifts and AWP
  • Rebuild pumps, gearboxes, Fans, etc.
  • Contributes to PM development through active participation, paperwork completion, and idea generation.
  • Has the capability to build / fabricate steps, supports, brackets, structures, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Experience in a Manufacturing or production environment
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift Certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detailed oriented and can multi-task
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Self-Initiates all mandatory Safety requirements of the task; LOTO, Confined Space, Fall Protection, etc.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the food/beverage industry a plus
  • Ability to direct, coach and train others
  • Consultative, influential, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a production setting.

FREQUENT: Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in area of responsibility. Exposure to wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in ambient temperature (seasonal).

OCCASIONAL: Squatting, kneeling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask, and perform Confined Entry using LOTO program. Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals.
