Industrial Millwright $47.80/hour SE Calgary

If you're looking for a full-time opportunity with strong long-term stability, this may be a great fit for you! My client, a Canadian-owned food manufacturer, is looking to hire a ticketed millwright to join their tenured maintenance team!

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Location: SE Calgary
Pay: $47.80/hr + shift premiums
Schedule: 8-hour rotating 2-week shifts (days, afternoons, nights, weekends)
Hours: 40 hours/week + optional overtime
Environment: Unionized, Food Processing

Responsibilities
What youll be doing:
- Perform routine and reactive maintenance on manufacturing, processing, and packaging equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems
- Maintain and support plant control systems for processing and packaging lines
- Work on equipment such as Polaris packaging machines, fryers, X-ray machines, and vibratory conveyors
- Complete equipment installations, alignments, and calibrations as needed
- Keep accurate records in the PMC preventative maintenance system
- Maintain compliance with GMP, food safety, health & safety, and environmental regulations
- Use and maintain hand/power tools in a clean, organized manner

Qualifications
What youll bring:
- Journeyman Millwright (in Alberta) or Red Seal Millwright Certification
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, food production, or packaging environment
- Proficiency in welding and machining (1+ year minimum)
- Familiarity with PMC or other CMMS systems (1+ year)
- Strong ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and control systems (PLC exposure preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift
- Must supply own hand tools, toolbox, and CSA-approved safety footwear
- Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and occasional overtime as required
