Welder & Fabricator**
**Job Description**
The Welder/Fabricator role is responsible for welding products and maintaining welding tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the quality and production standards of the company. A written test and hands-on welding and fabrication tests are required as a part of the interview process, but it's nothing too extreme or intimidating.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform MIG welding and fabrication tasks.
+ Maintain welding tools and equipment.
+ Achieve company quality and production standards.
+ Read and interpret blueprints and work order routings.
+ Layout parts using weld fixtures.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in MIG welding.
+ Metal fabrication - using saws, grinders, cutting torches, etc.
+ Ability to read tape measure and blueprints.
+ Capability to understand work order routings and instructions.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Good attitude, willingness to do whatever is asked and help others.
+ Desire to learn, take on more, and advance.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ooltewah, Tennessee
**Starting Pay:** 1st shift **-** $21-$24.50/hr, depending on experience and results of interview and tests
3rd shift - $22.75-$26.25/hr, depending on experience and results of interview and tests
**Shifts:** 1st - 6:00am to 2:30pm Mon-Fri and mandatory OT on Saturdays, but as they get fully staffed this will reduce to voluntary and as needed
3rd - 6:00pm to 4:30am Mon-Fri OR option to work Mon-Thu 6:00pm to 6:30am
**Weekly hours:** probably 50-55 regularly to start out, but more like 45-50 in the long run
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.25/hr.
