Sheet Metal Roofer**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Roofer to supervise and coordinate the activities of craft personnel engaged in the fabrication, installation, and repair of sheet metal products, systems, and structures. Our company handles all aspects of commercial and industrial construction, including new construction, renovations, remodels, and more.
**Responsibilities**
+ Plan, organize, schedule, supervise, and inspect the work of skilled roofers and trades helpers engaged in covering roofs with roofing materials.
+ Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems.
+ Review and evaluate the work progress of roofing shop roofers and trades helpers.
+ Oversee related administrative functions such as hiring and writing annual performance evaluations.
+ Inspect re-roofing and related roofing work while in progress and upon completion to ensure conformance to specifications.
+ Perform infrared and thermal inspection of roofing systems to determine water infiltration.
+ Evaluate and determine requirements and roofing material needs for various projects and order materials accordingly.
+ Maintain maintenance and roof system warranty logs and meet with bonding company representatives regarding roofs under warranty.
+ Communicate daily with the General Manager about current and upcoming projects.
+ Perform related duties as required.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2-5 years of experience in sheet metal work, including flats and metal work.
+ Experience overseeing others in commercial or residential industries.
+ Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools.
+ Ability to work independently and follow directions.
+ Reliability with no attendance issues.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in commercial construction environments.
+ Ability to handle small to mid-size projects and occasionally large-scale projects.

**Work Environment**
This role is set in a commercial construction environment, focusing on small to mid-size projects, with occasional large-scale projects. Normal work shifts are Monday to Friday from 7am to 4pm, with hours varying depending on the project. Winter months offer 36-40 hours per week, while spring through fall can range from 40-50 hours, with the possibility for more.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
