Group Summary:

The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Available to cover your shift and weekends as required.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and contribute towards improvement in maintenance department.
  • Be dedicated to safety and respect hazards as related to the machines and your job.
  • Ability to plan, troubleshoot, repair, fill out requisitions for items that need to be sent for repair as well as new part requirements with proper specifications.
  • Ability to bring the machine to the same level as before a breakdown (including clean up, putting the tools back, filling required forms for future and other team members reference).
  • Ability to communicate and share knowledge thoroughly with others.
  • Ability to learn and progress to highest maintenance skill level within the company.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Be motivated to take on new responsibilities and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to write PM's, set-up and troubleshooting Procedures for Plant Equipment.
  • Ability to undertake Preventive Maintenance and attend to all assigned maintenance work.
  • Gain working experience to troubleshoot and repair plant wide machineries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to undertake all aspects of continuous improvement projects from design stage to completion for any production equipment.
  • Participate in departmental meetings.
  • Carry out technical PM's, review and adapt PM procedures.
  • Repair, allocation, modification of electronic/electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair machine breakdowns and out of standard conditions.
  • Write reports on breakdowns for follow up on equipment listings.
  • Carry out minor installations, training of all electricians and electrical basics of mechanics.
  • Monitor safe condition of all electrical equipment and ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Participate in development of continuous improvement projects for press and injection systems from design to implementation.
  • Maintain presses, injection units and paintline equipment.
  • Report and correct unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Assist in the development of repair, set-up, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Update press, injection units and paintline equipment documentation as required.
  • Work on CIP projects, programming, design, etc. of high complexity.
  • Responsible for the general safety of the plant equipment and personnel.
  • Able to work overtime as required.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for proper handling, storage and disposal of all chemicals, used materials and equipment.
  • Maintain 5S standards.
  • Adhere to all rules and regulations as outlined in the Rollstamp Employee Handbook.
  • Adhere to all applicable Business Operating Systems Procedures.
  • Maintain all Rollstamp equipment, modification of existing equipment and installation of new equipment.
  • Perform all work in good standard and in a professional manner.
  • Work in a manner consistent with the measures and procedures required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Rollstamp safety rules and regulations, and to use or wear the protective equipment devices required by the company.
  • Adhere to all applicable Business Operating Systems Procedures.
  • Perform any other reasonable request by management.
  • Maintain all Rollstamp equipment, modification of existing equipment and installation of new equipment.
  • Be on call after regular hours and to respond to emergency requests.
  • Complete preventive maintenance forms, work orders and reports daily.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults, tune equipment, ensure adequate control and security measures are established and enforced.
  • Ensure that all staff are following Rollstamp lock-out procedures.
  • Make recommendations for improving equipment.
  • Work rotating shifts and overtime, when required.
  • Ensure that all staff are maintaining a clean and safe workplace environment
  • Perform all work in good standard and in a professional manner.
  • Work in a manner consistent with the measures and procedures required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Rollstamp safety rules and regulations, and to use or wear the protective equipment devices required by the company.
  • Ensure that staff are following all Rollstamp policies and procedures
  • Comply with Section 28 of the OHSA.
  • Comply with all Rollstamp Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all Rollstamp IATF 16949 policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all Rollstamp ISO14001 policies and procedures.
