We are currently looking for a Building Maintenance Operator for our Haines City facility.
The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance tasks within the plant to support the company expectations. Continuously supports Sofidel's Employee Personal Practice Policy.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Support Sofidel America's Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP to promote a safe, sanitary and hygienically sound workplace.
Perform building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs, troubleshooting & preventative maintenance as necessary
Will develop a high level of knowledge concerning equipment in the facility
Perform pre-shift inspection of the sweeper
Always drive safely and responsibly
Sweeper must be cleaned after every use
Notify Supervisor immediately if anything is not working properly with the sweeper
Ability to operate small balers
Operator shovels, brooms, pallet jacks and balers to remove waste from plant floor
Clean the outside parameter of the facility as requested
Plumbing as needed
Basic electrical work
Building desks and basic facilities up keep
All other facilities maintenance duties as requested
OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
- Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
High School Graduate or General Education degree (GED)
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals.
