Position Summary
This is a hands-on, full-time position. The Roofing Service Sales Estimator will grow our service department by highlighting our experience and skills to customers by offering maintenance and other programs to keep their investment in their buildings in top shape.
Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities
- Estimate job costs for new construction and re-roof projects
- Complete and submit written roofing proposals and estimates to FRRS PM for review.
- Understand all processes of job from acquisition to fulfillment.
- Provide detailed scope of work and information to the production or maintenance department for accepted proposals.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, pre-job meetings and visit job sites.
- Secure pricing from vendors.
- Develop relationships with owners, contractors and suppliers.
- Resolve disputes with clients.
- Track labor and material costs of jobs
- Work closely with Roofing Department representatives, Operations and job Crew Leaders. Assist in the review of proposed change orders and their validity Additional duties as assigned.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience
- 5-years of experience in the commercial roofing or construction industry.
Specialized Skills
- High level of problem solving ability, with strong emphasis on managing difficult customers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Superior communication and time management skills
- Working knowledge of mechanical drawings, with ability to read specifications and plans
- Ability to handle a variety of duties with minimal supervision
- Must have a valid, active driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
- Demonstrated exceptional organizational skills and is detail oriented.
Independence of Action
Results are defined and existing practices are used as guidelines to determine specific work methods and carries out work activities independently; supervisor/manager is available to resolve problems.

The work environment is the typical office/shop environment. Work Hours:
Work Hours 5:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Hours vary and are dependent on business needs.
40 Hour Work Week Monday through Friday, hours may vary with the workload.
Evenings/Weekends As needed to satisfy the requirements of the position
