Student Success Project Manager

Essential functions (job duties):
Job Purpose
The Student Success Project Manager is responsible for the planning, managing, and implementing of projects and initiatives spanning multiple student success units. Architect student progress tracking strategy to collect, analyze, and report student data using university information systems most efficiently. Use predictive data analytics and dashboards developed by the university's institutional research and data analysis team to assess student academic performance needs, specifically for historically underrepresented and niche populations. Work closely with co-lead of Student Success Collaborative as a project manager for multiple working groups. This is a temporary position, as the role is dependent upon grant continuation.
Essential Functions

- Develop reports for student success outcome measures, KPIs, and other metrics to ensure attainment of student success objectives. 25%
- Lead planning, logistics, and outcome analysis for multiple teams. 25%
- Develop strategies to increase the visibility of learning support services usage to academic departments and school/college leadership. 15%
- Develop repository to archive artifacts associated with completed projects, including project charters, interim status reports, final reports, etc. 15%
- Manage workflow of ad hoc projects supporting multiple student success units. 15%
- Perform other related duties as assigned. 5%

Qualifications:
Education Bachelor's degree
Bachelor's degree in: Education, Instructional Design, Communication or related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required.
Project management certification, preferred.
Experience Intermediate (3 to 4 years job-related experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in higher education in relevant areas: student success, student affairs, data analytics, academic advising, or similar education and experience.
- Experience in a project management role, knowledge of business practices and operations.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Clear verbal and written abilities, with effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team.
- Ability to compare, contrast and quality check work with a keen attention to detail. Strong analytical skills including critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Proficient with standard office tools (word processing, spreadsheets, presentation creation), research abilities to find relevant materials using online search tools, and database management systems.
- Proficient in using technology to develop, implement, track, and analyze programs designed to maximize outreach efforts using student information systems. Demonstrated ability to aggregate and analyze data to evaluate outcomes towards set performance goals. Experience with database query and table design.
