Job Scope and Major Responsibilities:
Professional degree in architecture, plus three to five years of related experience
Fully competent in all conventional aspects of architecture
Independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of architectural designs for projects of all sizes and complexity
Preparation of full construction documentation for projects of varying size and complexity
Performs analysis of design, planning and occupancy studies, and limited design layouts
Prepares project specifications, compiling and analyzing relevant data
Writes minutes, reports and specifications. Reviews completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations
Advanced presentation and graphic communication skills
Advanced drafting software skills
Early technical competency with building assemblies and systems
Competency with drawing set preparation
Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have the follow minimum criteria:
3 (three) or more years of experience, preferably in high-end and/or multi - family residential, hospitality, or commercial projects
A bachelor's or master's degree in architecture
Working knowledge of the full design process including but not limited to Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documentation and Administration, Procurement, etc.
Experience in construction administration, including on site work, is preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe CS (including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), Rhino, Revit, SketchUp, and V-ray
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong conceptual, design, and presentation abilities
Effective communication and organizational skills
Self-motivated, proactive, and energetic team member with the ability to meet project timelines and actively contribute to the design process
Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Proficient in MS Word, and Excel
Resides in the New York City area and is available to work immediately
