I need to find an experienced carpenter/handyman/contractor to complete a job my handyman father-in-law began (but cannot complete due to poor health). References are a must. The job: Quickly turning an existing, structurally sound 16.5' x 20.5' wooden shed into an efficiency apartment. The shed already has power run to it, and some frames for walls built. It needs insulation, drywall, ceiling, improved flooring, at least one window installed, wood stove exhaust pipe properly sealed, and a bathroom (sink, standing shower, toilet) and kitchen (sink, counter) put in. We already have a qualified person ready to handle getting water and septic to the building. This will be an EXTREMELY basic job. Nothing fancy, just inexpensive, rustic and utilitarian. We are on a very tight budget and so are prioritizing solid, bare-bones craftsmanship over slick, modern design and upscale fixtures. This will require at least two people to complete. We hope to start this project in the next two to four weeks and would love to hear from any experienced, professional folks who are qualified to handle a project of this nature.
