Mig Welder**

**Job Description**

Engage in horizontal and vertical MIG welding, primarily focusing on aluminum, along with some steel and stainless materials. Weld thickness ranges from 18-gauge to 3/8 inch. Occasionally perform TIG welding as needed. Utilize various wires including .360 wire, 4043 wire, 5356 wire, and occasionally .035 wire. Inspect personal welds using visual methods, ensuring some welds meet certification requirements. Collaborate with a team of 4-5 welders per shift.

**Responsibilities**

+ Perform MIG welding on aluminum, steel, and stainless materials.

+ Conduct occasional TIG welding as required.

+ Use a variety of wires including .360, 4043, 5356, and .035.

+ Inspect welds visually to ensure quality and certification compliance.

+ Collaborate with a team of welders on shift.

**Essential Skills**

+ 1+ year of welding experience (school or on the job).

+ Ability to read weld blueprints and symbols.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ 3+ years of welding experience (school or on the job) is a nice-to-have.

+ Proficiency in welder assembly, blueprint reading, wire feed, and sheet metal handling.

**Work Environment**

Work in a large manufacturing facility located at the East Brooklyn Park Facility. The environment includes assembly, warehouse, and fabrication areas. Each welder is provided with their own welding bay on the manufacturing floor, equipped with necessary welding equipment, except for helmets. This is a no-smoking facility, emphasizing a strong culture and team-first mentality. Engage primarily in production work focused on building products like access doors, entrance grates, and more.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
