CertainTeed is seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Rail Loading Technician to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will operate mobile equipment to load products onto trucks and rail cars, ensuring timely and accurate shipments. Youll also coordinate with other warehouse technicians to meet key performance goals and uphold our high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Operate forklifts to safely load trailers and rail cars
Inspect incoming inventory and identify product defects
Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices
Process bills of lading and pick tickets
Perform cycle counts and receive inbound products
Bag products for rail car deliveries
Maintain equipment and report any defects
Participate in safety programs, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience: 23 years in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
Ability to work independently and in a team
Strong communication and mechanical aptitudePreferred Skills
Familiarity with safety programs and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) systems
Basic PC skills (Word, Excel, etc.)
Understanding of quality and board specifications
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, climb, and work at heights
Comfortable working in hot/cold environments and wearing PPE
