**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Job Summary

The Electrician is responsible for installing and repairing all

electrical devices of the plant.

Essential Functions:

The following is a list of specific duties which are considered the

essential functions of this job. The list is not exhaustive, as all

positions at BWay are dynamic. The employee who occupies this position

is expected to assume any / all duties assigned by management

irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in this

list:

- Troubleshoots 480VAC 3 phase motor control circuits.

- Troubleshoots industrial control circuits

- Modifies circuits in industrial machines and systems.

- Changes all size motors from fractional to 500 H.P.

- Troubleshoots PLC systems.

- Installs control systems for rebuilds or new systems.

- Installs and testing Ethernet networks.

- Troubleshoots and installing VFD motor controls.

- Electrician disassembles defective electrical equipment, replaces

defective or worn parts, and reassembles equipment.

- Responsible for replacing all fuses, light sockets, bulbs and

switches.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Performs other duties assigned from management.

Job Scope:

- As a skilled specialist, completes tasks in resourceful and

effective ways. Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment

and initiative.

- Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for

solutions. Assisting Maintenance.

- A majority of critical thinking tasks can be completed effectively

It also works effectively as a team contributor on all required tasks.

- Works independently while understanding the necessity for

communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and

departments.

Education and Experience:

- At least one to three years of experience working in a manufacturing

environment and electrical drafting experience.

- Industrial experience

- Trade school

- College

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English

- Ability to read and simple reference electrical schematic and

drawings.

- Ability to work with live 480 VAC 3 phase systems.

- Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.

- Proficiency using electrical test instruments.

- Ability to wire electrical panels from schematics.

- Demonstrates basic mathematical aptitude, skills in basic

mathematical calculations, decimals and fractions

- Understands quality, PPE requirements and safety and the importance

of complying with safety policies and procedures

Desired skills:

- Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience or training.

- Human/Machine interface (HMI) experience or training.

- Industrial Ethernet experience or training.

- Industrial control network experience or training.

- Industrial vision inspection systems experience or training.

- Punch press OSHA controls requirements experience or training.

- Servo motor experience or training.

Physical/Visual Demands/Work Environment:

performance of the functions of this job)

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly

required to walk and stand.

- Must have the ability to climb and be in high places.

- Position is associated with pushing, pulling, climbing, handling,

reaching, stretching, and working in tight and high places.

- Must have the physical ability and coordination to remove and

replace parts that may weigh up to 50 lbs.

Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions:

(Environmental and atmospheric conditions commonly associated \* with

the pe formance of the functions of this job).

Inside conditions, extremes of heat (100+ seasonal), exposure to

humidity, working in tight areas, high noise levels from production

environment, including some exposure to outside weather elements, oil

and dirt.
