A Senior Contracts Manager is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Houston, TX area. This Senior Contracts Manager role overseeing complex, high-value Canadian construction projects with contract strategy, execution, negotiation, and compliance using NEC/FIDIC models, along with leadership, stakeholder engagement, and Canadian regulatory expertise.

responsibilities:
- Define contracting strategy with input from clients and project functions.
- Develop mechanisms for monitoring (sub)contract compliance.
- Lead team in establishing contracting management systems, procedures, and controls.
- Analyze contracts to identify and mitigate risks, ambiguities, and deviations from scope.
- Advise Project Manager and Client on risk mitigation and compensation events.
- Conduct financial analysis of contracts; establish large-scale budgets and KPIs.
- Provide reviews, audits, and process improvements for contract-related issues.
- Share lessons learned with the corporate contracts function to enhance tools and training.
- Proficiency in all stages of (sub)contract management: prequalification, bidding, evaluation, award, performance monitoring, claims, and dispute resolution.
- strong understanding of NEC, FIDIC, JCT, ICE contract forms.
- Experienced in reviewing/redlining commercial terms, including milestone payments, LDs, safety, and scheduling.
- Experience managing large-scale budgets and contracts in complex stakeholder environments.

- Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of experience in aspects of Contracts Management/Administration or
- At least 15 years of experience in Contracts.
