Structural Design Engineer PE

We are seeking a Structural Design Engineer with a specialization in steel structures to join our dynamic team. This is a direct hire role located in Evansville WI.

The Structural Design Engineer plays a pivotal role in project coordination and structural design services, utilizing engineering systems and drawings to ensure the integrity and safety of buildings. This person will be designing structural members and connections, prioritizing department objectives and profitability goals, as well as continuously improving technical knowledge. This role also involves collaborating with project teams to address challenges and to develop cost-effective solutions while meeting design schedules

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Civil Engineering

Preferred

• 4+ years of structural engineering experience

responsibilities:
- Establish and adhere to project scopes and budgets.

- Effectively communicate project expectations and objectives with both internal staff and clients, utilizing both written and verbal channels.

- Conduct on-site inspections and prepare comprehensive structure condition reports.

- Interpret specifications and drawings, propose and document design modifications, and coordinate seamlessly with the design team.

- Conduct Quality Assurance/Quality Checks on all projects to uphold Chastain's commitment to delivering superior service to our clients.

- Provide oversight and mentorship to staff while also offering project support to other departments within Chastain.

- Manage client relationships and actively cultivate new business connections.

- Capability to engage in design work related to non-bridge projects is advantageous but not mandat
