SR. Field Engineering Technician

A company is looking for an Engineering Technician to join their team.

- Working heavily with their customers and end client on delivery on projects

- Project management coordination

- Responsible for providing support to engineers on technical projects and/or products

- Assist in scheduling and developing construction plans for the project work

- Assist in work packages, construction plans, bill material and will assist with the scope of work schedule.

o Potentially could assist with design work

- Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

- Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools

- Work Management Systems (WMS) SAP B1 and/or SAGE Experience
* Associates or Technical Degree in any engineering field

* 7 years of prior relevant experience: working directly with an electric utility or an electric utility consulting company, performing design engineering

o Needs some type of distribution, powerline, utility background, etc.

* Must be comfortable in both a field and office setting

* Interest in developing construction work packages for the electric distribution system using various software systems and construction standards

* Candidate must provide their own reliable transportation (local customers/sites -- will be reimbursed for mileage)

- This role will involve 80% travel around the surrounding cities/fielding for customer requirements, meeting with construction/project managers and driving timelines on projects
