Electrical Managing Engineer / Senior Project Manager
Location: Long Island & New York City
Compensation: Up to $160,000, based on experience

Position Summary
A confidential, growth-oriented engineering firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Managing Engineer / Senior Project Manager to join its team in the Long Island and NYC area. This is a leadership-track role with an immediate focus on technical delivery and project execution, and a clear path toward becoming a Regional Lead within the MEP division.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects
Oversee project timelines, budgets, staffing, and technical quality from concept through construction
Prepare high-quality technical drawings, specifications, and documentation
Design and coordinate medium and low voltage distribution systems, lighting, power, and grounding systems
Conduct field surveys, site evaluations, and manage construction administration tasks
Collaborate with architects, internal multi-discipline teams, contractors, and equipment vendors
Manage client relationships and support new business development initiatives
Contribute to proposal writing, contract negotiation, and cross-discipline coordination
Mentor junior engineers and assist in team development and performance
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 12 years of experience in electrical systems design for commercial or industrial buildings
Professional Engineer (PE) license required, with ability to gain licensure in additional states
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and relevant codes
Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and interacting with clients
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; AutoCAD and/or Revit experience is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter with the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
