Description

As a Project Manager/Engineer, you will work on some of the world's most exciting projects (Breweries and other liquid systems!) in a dynamic environment where your success is measured by the impact you make. Our projects are developing and installing turn-key automated liquid sanitary process systems. The core of our business is craft breweries, coffee systems, and distilleries.

The Project Manager/Engineer is responsible for system design, overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, controls design, and start up/commissioning at customer site while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The Project manager/Engineer responsibilities span a broad spectrum, covering all the areas of project management as well as engineering design including - project planning, cost & time management, quality management, safety management, heating and cooling calculations, P&IDs, 2-D designs and layouts, flow calculations, and learn how to brew.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager/Engineer:

Become thoroughly knowledgeable with the project's contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work

Build a knowledge base of all of companys divisions, including (Beverage), (hemp & related biomass), and (other process industries: nutraceuticals, pharma, pet foods, cosmetics, etc.) to assist with projects and go to market strategies including quoting

Ensure project timeline is met and project stays within budget

Develop and maintain the project master schedule using CPM techniques and appropriate scheduling software with input from other project management personnel

Manage document control, receive, and log in new issue drawings and other contract documents, maintain document control log

Responsible for purchasing and procurement of equipment for projects including keeping accurate budgets

Responsible for ensuring that the project quality/assurance control program is implemented successfully

Responsible for subcontract management and coordination

Manage multiple projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency

Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed.

Identify workplace safety hazards and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize them

Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information

Provide responsive customer service and resolving customer issues quickly and efficiently

Advanced engineering skills and ability to understand customer needs and how to satisfy those needs with excellent problem-solving capability

Assist Sales manager and sales team with any day-to-day requests for designs, information, or customer support

Assist with and in some cases, lead procuring and company process improvements

Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new products

Develop testing processes, and perform testing and validation of new designs

Perform engineering calculations to support design work

Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors

Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process

Assist Operations Manager, Sales Manager, and VP of Engineering with any requested tasks

Education:

Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

Project management: 2 years (Preferred)

Liquid Process: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

English (Required)

License/Certification:

Driver's License (Required)

Willingness to travel:

50% (Preferred)

Required:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering

Preferred:

Three years of experience in sanitary manufacturing industries

Three years of experience in project management

PMP Certification

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities of the Project Manager/Engineer:

Required travel for the Project Manager up to 25 - 50%

Solid organizational skills including attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills Maintain a positive attitude

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $102000.00/yr.
