Primary Purpose
Assist electrician in keeping all electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in safe working condition.
Qualifications
Education/Certification/Licensure
- High school diploma or GED
- Eligible for apprentice license through Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations
- Texas driver's license and pass MVR driving record check - must meet eligibility
- Requirements for CCISD motor vehicle insurance
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Effective communicational and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of electrical tools and multi-meters
- Ability to read and understand verbal instructions in English
- Basic knowledge in commercial electrical/conduit and 3 phase experience
Experience
- Requirement determined by supervisor
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist electrician in keeping all electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in safe working condition.
- Maintain truck parts inventory and attribute repair parts to appropriate work order.
- Maintain neat and orderly work vehicle.
- Follow all safety rules relating to trade.
- Attend all safety meetings.
- Participate in after hours on-call response protocol as scheduled by the Electrical Supervisor.
- Participate in District Standard Reunification Protocol as directed by District Incident Commander or designee.

- Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality professional learning opportunities for personal growth.
- Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.

- Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
- Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
- Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
- Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.

Strenuous walking, standing, and/or climbing; lifting to 80 pounds; inside and outside exposure to hot and cold temperatures, dust toxic chemicals, and materials; working on ladders; working in and around energized environment
