Were a full-service fabrication and welding shop with a tight-knit team, and were looking to grow. We specialize in custom metalwork across various industries, including architecture, construction, and industry. Our shop is equipped for MIG, TIG, Stick welding, CNC machining, CNC plasma cutting, tube rolling, tube bending, and sheet metal bending. Whether its a one-off prototype or a full production run, we build everything from detailed architectural pieces to heavy structural components. We work directly with builders, contractors, and designers to ensure every project meets spec, stays on schedule, and is built to last.

Position Overview
Were looking to add a skilled fabricator to our team. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of hands-on experience in fabrication and MIG, TIG, and Stick welding. You should be comfortable building and assembling a variety of components, reading plans, and working independently or with a team to maintain high standards throughout the process. This isnt a repetitive or assembly-line welding jobwe take on a wide range of projects, and we need someone who enjoys the variety and challenge that comes with custom work.

Responsibilities

• Welding and Fabrication
  
• Reading plans and drawings to ensure the job is completed properly
  
• Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials
  
• Using conventional and precision measuring instruments
  
• Process inspection, certification, and documentation
  
• Welding equipment maintenance
  
• Safety and housekeeping
  
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
• Operate fab shop and machine shop machinery and equipment; read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
  
• Set stops or guides to specified lengths as indicated by scale, rule, or template
  
• Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
  
• Measure workpiece dimensions to determine the accuracy of machine operation
  
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from workpieces
  
• Perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces
  
• Set up and perform maintenance on fab and machine shop machines and perform burning work. Operate any equipment needed to perform job
  
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications.
  
• Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, and machinery to build efficiently.
  
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask between different projects.
  
• Perform and effectively use simple mathematics.
  
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy items and stand for long periods of time.
  
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
  
• Self-motivation to meet deadlines under minimal supervision
  
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Experience

• Proven experience in fabrication and welding. (Bring photos or portfolio of work)
  
• Experience with materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, etc.
  
• Familiarity with hand tools and machining processes.
  

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
  
• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, welding or metal fabrication
  
• A welding school certificate is a plus
  
• AWS Certification or LA City Certification is a plus
  
• Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
  
• AWS Certification or LA City Certification is a plus
  
• Must maintain a valid drivers license, acceptable driving record, and carry state-required auto insurance.
  

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations,and industry standards is a plus.
  
• Proficiency in different welding and fabrication techniques.
  
• Must be detail-oriented
  
• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time, manage deadlines, and complete projects on schedule.
  

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use their hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move heavy objects. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Hearing protection and other PPE is provided and should be worn.


Job Type: Part-time to Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25-40 per week
Shift: Day shift

Work Location: In person mostly at the facility in Buena Park, CA, with the possibility for some travel
