This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not meet the screen-out element will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: The ability to perform common tasks including: Performing a variety of metal repair, fabrication, plan, layout, and structural disassembly/assembly of aircraft and aircraft components; 2) Using hand power tools (drills, rivet, guns, routers, etc.), and metal working hand tools (snips, punches, files, plier, hammers, mallets, etc.) and/or working with hand or power press brakes, shears, shrinking and stretching tools, hydraulic presses, sanders or machines in the process or repairing, manufacturing or modifying aircraft or aircraft engine assemblies or parts; 3) Applying knowledge of basic level shop mathematics to calculate and scribe patterns and apply principles of parallel or radial line development and triangulation.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
