The Role: Sr. Package Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Package Design Engineer with 7+ years of hands-on experience in ASIC/SOC package design. The ideal candidate has ownership-level experience across multiple layers of package design, with strong competencies in SI (Signal Integrity) and PI (Power Integrity) , specifically in the pre-silicon phase (not manufacturing).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and own package design efforts for custom ASICs and SOCs
• Collaborate with silicon, system, and board teams to ensure optimal signal/power integrity
• Develop package stack-up, floorplanning, and bump/pad assignments
• Validate design rules and run electrical analysis for SI/PI
• Interface with cross-functional teams during pre-silicon development cycles

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in advanced ASIC/SOC package design
• Proven ownership of full-package design cycles in multiple projects
• Deep understanding of SI/PI analysis and design optimization
• Strong background in pre-silicon design and validation (not manufacturing-focused)
• Experience in EDA tools for package layout and simulation
• Previous experience in a small company or startup environment highly preferred
