Painter Technician (Utility Truck & Equipment)

+ You will assist with painting Utility trucks and equipment and progress to being a Painter.

+ Mon Fri 5am - 130pm OT as needed, many days till 330pm

**Summary**
The Painter Helper will be assisting in the paint department with various functions. This position needs attention to detail as well as an eye for defects. A successful candidate will be safe-minded and a great team player. Excellent attitude and attendance would be great contributions to this position as well.
NOTE: Must be able to pass respirator fit test which would require no facial hair on cheeks.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Mask off and cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection of equipment.
+ Fill cracks, holes, and joints per specifications.
+ Erect scaffolding, movable, and immovable staging and various rigging to gain access to difficult areas.
+ Remove paint splatters when finished.
+ Clean up all equipment, including brushes and spray guns.
+ Drive forklift to stage parts and move material.
+ Maintain an organized and clean work area.
+ Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and environmental rules.
+ Properly hang and remove parts from paint racks.
+ Clean all surfaces to ensure proper adherence of products when necessary.
+ Install non-skid coatings on various items.
+ Assemble small parts, including minor wiring.
+ Other assignments as needed.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
+ Excellent attendance.
+ Positive attitude and works in collaboration with other team members to get projects complete.
+ Attention to detail and quality standards to get it done right the first time.
+ Possess knowledge of and ability to identify fabrication industry metals and ability to help in metal fabrication areas as needed.
+ Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
+ Ability to work well with team members.
+ Strong orientation towards quality, safety, and continual improvement.
+ Current Drivers License.
+ Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
High School or GED, one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
